Government Contractor Drug Testing

Many federal contractors and grantees keep a written workplace drug policy, and some contracts add their own testing requirements. LabX provides lab-confirmed, non-DOT screening you can use within your policy.

Why contractors test

Agencies and prime contractors can set their own drug policy and testing terms, and they vary by contract. Read yours closely before you order.

The right program

A documented policy plus pre-employment and random testing. LabX does not perform DOT-regulated testing, so DOT-covered roles need a separate DOT program.

How LabX serves contractors

Lab-confirmed screening with barcode-tracked kits and results in one portal.

Talk to a licensed physician

Test results support workplace decisions but are not a medical diagnosis. Anyone with questions about a result or their health should talk to a licensed physician. Employer screening results are reviewed by licensed and trained Medical Technologists; LabX does not currently offer Medical Review Officer (MRO) review, and employers can speak with a LabX toxicologist about a result. See our medical disclaimer.

Common questions

Will LabX testing satisfy my contract’s requirements?
